The story of your African Safaris Tours!
Day 1
Welcome to Kenya!
You will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and be met by our tour guide. Please keep in mind that your flight must arrive before 1 p.m., or we will book an extra night in a Nairobi hotel for you. You can get in touch with us if you want to learn more about different lodging options. Amboseli National Park will be your first stop. The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro makes up for the dusty safari through Africa’s magnificent landscapes.
After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park. With over 50 mammal species, Amboseli’s fragile ecosystem boasts an impressive wildlife diversity. The Safari Kenya park is well-known for being the best place in Africa to get up close and personal with free-roaming elephants, as well as Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, buffalo, warthogs, Maasai giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, and dik-diks. The views of Mt. Kilimanjaro are breathtaking.
Journey Time: 4-5 hours
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Kibo Safari Camp
Day 2
Full day game drives in Amboseli N.P.
The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro is usually best in the early morning hours. This is when you will begin your Safari Kenya to take breathtaking photographs of the landscape and animals. During today’s game drive in Amboseli National Park, you’ll see plenty of animals. Then, in the late afternoon, you will return to the camp to relax or swim in the swimming pool.
Journey Time: Depending on game drives
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Kibo Safari Camp
Day 3
To Nanyuki town
On your way out of Amboseli National Park, you will take a final game drive in the early morning hours. Today you will take a long but scenic drive from Nairobi to the Laikipia Plateau via the fertile region of Karatina. Safari Kenya highland, located west of Mount Kenya, is 2000 meters above sea level.
After a nice picnic lunch along the way, you’ll arrive at your hotel just outside of Nanyuki town in the late afternoon. Nanyuki town provides a skyline to view Mount Kenya, Safari Kenya, Kenya’s highest peak and the second-highest in Africa.
Journey Time: 8 Hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Le Rustique Hotel
Day 4
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After an early breakfast, you will travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private sanctuary of more than 90,000 acres that helps protect endangered species. Home to the big five and many other species such as African wild dogs, reticulated giraffes, and Safari Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary. You can get a close look at these human-like apes here, and the rangers will tell you everything you need to know about Safari Kenya.
Baraka, a blind black rhino, can be watched, fed, and touched at the Morani rhino information centre! You will also get a good look at the world’s last three southern white rhinos! At Ol Pejeta, you can learn about mammals and see what poaching has done to the Rhino population in the previous 30 years. There is a good chance of seeing Mt. Kenya, especially in the morning and evening. You return to your hotel in Nanyuki in the late afternoon.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Le Rustique Hotel
Day 5
To Samburu National Reserve
Before continuing to the Samburu National Reserve, you can catch the last glimpse of Safari Kenya at sunrise. When you arrive, you will go on a game drive en route to the lodge, where you will have lunch. Then take a long game drive through the park.
Samburu National Reserve is Safari Kenya’s best-kept secret, located in the heart of the country. The Reserve covers approximately 165 square kilometres and has a semi-arid climate. The Ewaso Ngiro River forms the most southern border, with Dumpalms and Acacias growing along its banks. The Safari Kenya’s northern region is made up of grass, Savannah plains and dry woodland. Samburu game reserve is home to various wildlife, including Reticulated Giraffes, Gravy Zebras, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostriches, to name a few. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are frequently spotted, as are other members of the cat family.
Journey Time: 2 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Samburu Sopa Lodge
Day 6
Full day game drive in Samburu
You leave early in the morning for your morning game drive in the Samburu national reserve, where you will explore the dry northern plains and the woodland riverside in the south. The morning is the best time to spot animals in the semi-desert because of the fresh air and active animals. If you’re lucky, you might come across a kill from the previous night. After lunch, you’ll go on another game drive, this time looking for leopards in the trees! You can unwind at the lodge in the late afternoon or take a refreshing dip in the pool.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Samburu Sopa Lodge
Day 7
To Lake Nakuru N.P.
You will have an early morning breakfast before departing Samburu National Reserve on an en-route game drive. You will stop at Thomson Falls and the Rift Valley viewpoint on your way to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you can take beautiful landscape photos. Lake Nakuru National Park is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. There is an incredible wealth of ecological diversity ranging from Lake Nakuru to the escarpment and picturesque ridges surrounding it. Game drives, bird watching, and hiking are all popular activities in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Then you’ll arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon. Ziwa Bush Lodge will be your home for the next few nights. It is ideally situated in Nakuru, Kenya’s naturally beautiful surroundings. The owners, Ralph, Ben, and May, gathered among the African trees, ensured that the lodge did not disrupt the environment. It provides a luxurious stay in a neat, traditionally built lodge on the edge of a pond where trees and birdlife abound.
Journey Time: 6-7 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Flamingo Hills Tented Camp
Day 8
Full day game drives in Lake Nakuru
Today you will go on an early morning game drive, then return for breakfast before going on another game drive to see lions, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs, and other wildlife. You will also have a picnic lunch and relax. Then, in the evening, go on a game drive to photograph beautiful landscapes, and then return to your accommodation to watch the African sky at sunset while sipping a cold drink.
Note: The number of lesser flamingos has decreased in recent years as the lake’s water level has risen rapidly and more freshwater has entered the lake. The flamingos have less food because the water is less alkaline, and the Spirulina algae cannot survive. Many flamingos relocated to other lakes in Tanzania, such as Lake Magadi, Lake Natron, and Lake Manyara. This national park, on the other hand, has a lot to offer.
Journey Time: Depending on game drive
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Flamingo Hills Tented Camp
Day 9
To the Masai Mara
On your way to the Masai Mara game reserve on the Tanzanian border, you will enjoy an early breakfast. It has a high animal concentration all year and is known for its typical short savanna plains. In Tanzania’s Serengeti, two million Wildebeest migrate north during the Great Migration, from July to October.
From the gate, you will take a long game drive to the tented camp, where you will spend the next two nights. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive to see lions, buffaloes, antelopes, hippopotamus, and crocodiles in the Mara River.
Journey Time: 5 hours
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Mara Eden safari camp
